Woodland
Music Productions Founder, Patrick Woodland
grew up in southern California and earned
his Bachelor of Music degree at UCLA, and University of
Puget Sound. His career as a composer/producer started when
a movie producer insisted on using Patrick's songs and wanted
to meet him. When Patrick composed his first piece of music
to picture shortly after that initial meeting, he realized
his true passion. It was with his encouragement that Patrick
began his career as a television / film composer and producer.
A very productive period followed with Patrick's relationship
with ITC, composing the score for their first half hour
syndicated pilot, "Tiko Pride of the Rockies",
as well as the theatrical film trailer scores for "The
Last Seduction" starring Linda Fiorentino, "Kill
me Again" starring Val Kilmer, and several others.
Many successful projects ensued, such as composing and producing
weekly songs for Warner Bros. "I'll Fly Away",
airing on NBC. During the next few years he developed
both his composing and technical skills. In 1997 while writing
weekly songs for the hit NBC television series "Profiler",
discussions started with Richard Bredice, a popular local
recording producer, to create and build a new studio. A
major goal was to incorporate more live instruments into
his scores. The studio also enabled Patrick to combine MIDI
productions and full live orchestrations. This facility
is conveniently located close to the center of Orange counties
Irvine Spectrum.
